American Cancer Society Having experienced the tragedy of cancer suffered by friends and families, we support the work of the American Cancer Society.
Athletes United for Youth This organization was founded by former Pro Basketball player Dell Curry, Carolina Panther Steve Smith, and ESPN Announcer Jay Bilas. Athletes United for Youth develops, operates, and supports structured, affordable and accessible after-school programs, computer learning centers, one-on-one mentoring, and substance abuse prevention and awareness programs. Our Partner, Jameson Wells, who works with many non-profits, provides all legal services for this organization, and Wells Daisley Rabon, P.A. supports and sponsors many of its activities.
Friendship Trays Our partner, Jameson Wells, has been regularly involved as a Volunteer delivering meals to the needy and elderly in our community through Friendship Trays, a local affiliate of Meals on Wheels
The Good Fellows Club Our associate attorney Brendan G. Dillashaw has been a member and supporter of the Good Fellows Club for over five years. The Good Fellows Club has a membership of 1,600 men in the greater Charlotte area who seek an opportunity to be of service to the less fortunate in our community. Good Fellows provides emergency assistance to families in need throughout the year.
Lance Armstrong Foundation For several years, our partner Chet Rabon represented Pro Cyclist, George Hincapie, Armstrong’s teammate on the U.S. Postal Service and Discovery Channel Cycling Team. From this connection, we choose to support work of the Lance Armstrong Foundation.
Mid Atlantic Chapter, National Multiple Sclerosis Society Our Partner, Mike Daisley, was diagnosed with MS at age 25. Throughout his entire career, he has been a tireless advocate and fundraiser for the fight against MS, and is a leader and long time member of the Mid Atlantic MS Chapter Board of Trustees.
Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) Wells Daisley Rabon has represented, and continues to represent, families of victims killed in drunk driving tragedies. Wells Daisley Rabon supports the mission and the work of this organization.
Rotary International Our partner, Chet Rabon, is a member of the Rotary Club of South Charlotte. Rotary is a worldwide organization of business and professional leaders that provides humanitarian service, encourages high ethical standards in all vocations, and helps build goodwill and peace in the world. Approximately 1.2 million Rotarians belong to more than 32,000 clubs in more than 200 countries and geographical areas. Rotary International is committed to eradicating polio, and this goal is now in sight.
Second String Santas Our Partner, Chet Rabon, has been involved with Second String Santas for almost 20 years, and is currently the Vice-Chairman and legal counsel of the organization. Since 1989, Second String Santas has raised and distributed an estimated 50,000 toys for underprivileged children, as well as financially supporting some of our community’s most underperforming elementary schools. Our Associate, Brendan Dillashaw, has also recently become involved with Second String Santas.
Special Olympics Offering opportunities for people with intellectual disabilities an opportunity to transform their lives, and those of everyone around them. Wells Daisley Rabon contributes to and supports the mission and the work of this organization.
St. Peter’s Boys and Girls Choir - The Boys and Girls Choirs at St. Peter's provide superior music education and performance opportunities for talented young men and women regardless of race, religion or economic status. Our partner, Mike Daisley, is a director of this organization and his son is a singer in this regionally renowned choir. The firm supports the programming and activities of this organization.
U.S. National Whitewater Center Our Partner, Chet Rabon, founded this organization along with banker Vic Howie, in April 2000. The U.S. National Whitewater Center is now an official U.S. Olympic Training Site, home base for the U.S. National Whitewater Team, and is a premiere Swiftwater rescue training facility for firefighters and public safety officers, in addition to providing nearly 1 mile of Class III and Class IV whitewater rafting, as well as mountain biking and rock climbing. Rabon continues his involvement with this organization as a member of its Board of Directors.
YMCA of Greater Charlotte All of our lawyers are members of the YMCA, whose purpose is to put Christian principles into practice through programs that build healthy spirit, mind and body for all. Our partner, Mike Daisley, serves on the Board of Advisors.
In addition, our lawyers serve on local and state boards, commissions and committees, including the Mecklenburg County Bar, the Charlotte Mecklenburg Zoning Board of Adjustment, and the North Carolina Academy of Trial Lawyers.
